MEDi Deals – Medical M&A platform in ASEAN

Background

In ASEAN countries, while medical infrastructure remains incomplete, M&A activities are constantly developing with the aim of expanding the scale of medical facilities and optimizing medical human resources to improve healthcare services. In addition, MEDRING has received an increasing number of M&A consultations from ASEAN clinics during the process of digital transformation support.

In recent years, along with the  remarkable development of the region and the growing medical needs, the number of medical institutions in ASEAN has been increasing. In Indonesia, the number of private clinics increased by 27% per year. In particular, the ASEAN region is witnessing a strong shift in the field of healthcare management, with the trend of improving operational efficiency and expanding the scale of corporations. In addition, the issues of succession and aging of physicians, especially in countries with aging populations like Japan, have paved the way for M&A activities. To take advantage of market potential, a number of foreign medical institutions have expanded their business operations into the ASEAN region.

In addition, MEDi clinic management and electronic medical records software  provided by MEDRING, currently has more than 100 users in three countries (Vietnam, Indonesia, and Cambodia). With the goal of expanding its network of medical institutions, MEDRING has officially released MEDi Deals medical M&A platform as a strategic step to build a comprehensive medical ecosystem and promote M&A activities in the ASEAN region.

In addition to medical DX solutions and a medical personnel recruitment platform in Japan, MRT Group also provides comprehensive clinic opening and M&A support through its network of member companies. Leveraging relationships with  Japanese-affiliated medical institutions, MRT will be responsible for the penetration of MEDi Deals in Japan.
